Spotlight: Little Free Libraries are SO Naples

Updated: Jun 19

It’s a tiny house on a post in a front yard offering free books to passers-by. This Little Free Library epitomizes Naples Neighborly.

Joyce Levinson’s labor of love for six years is overflowing at 256 Novara Drive. Growing up, she dreamed of being a librarian. Today, she’s a “steward” of books and does a substantial job populating her library with free reads for all ages.

The mantra of Little Free Libraries is: take one, leave one. Nationwide, they’ve been in existence since 2009 (you can read the history here). Want to find a registered LFL when you travel? Download the app and search your location, registered little libraries dot a map. So far, two Naples locations are pinned… do you know of more?

Stop at Joyce’s Little Free Library on your next walk. If closer to the fountain, visit another at 73 Corinthian Walk.
