The NIA Bylaws Committee has worked with the Board of Directors to identify areas to improve our rules, the organization and its processes through an update to our association’s bylaws. After several months of work, including a review of bylaws from several Long Beach neighborhood organizations, at its meeting on June 6th the NIA Board of Directors approved draft revisions to our bylaws for the purpose of soliciting member review and feedback. The initial draft bylaws revision document can be viewed along with the current bylaws in a side-by-side format by clicking the download icon above.
The draft bylaws revision comment period will be open through July 14, 2024. Comments on the draft revisions provided and member thoughts on potentially other revisions are welcome and should be sent via email to: NIAbylawsComm@gmail.com
The Board anticipates incorporating member comments into this work, to develop a proposed Bylaws revision that will be available for review and consideration by members prior to the annual NIA member meeting in November.
