Three New Restaurants for Naples

Rim Talay: 5542 2nd Street

Residents have been flocking to our newest restaurant, Rim Talay - Thai Food of Naples… more excellent food, great service, and a pleasant atmosphere right in our neighborhood. Rim Talay is Thai for “by the sea”. Owner and chef Nancy Paiboolsilp and her granddaughter, Maryjane (MJ) Takaeo, are running the business. They also have a restaurant called Sizzling Wok in North Long Beach. They are open for lunch and dinner for both dine-in and take-out.

4Shore: 5716 E. 2nd Street

A luxury restaurant called 4Shore will be located in the building that previously housed Chianina Steakhouse. This bottle service restaurant will have a mandatory dress code, and just 14 tables and 20 bar stools. It will be open seven nights a week and serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday.  It is owned by Joshua Sanchez (who runs a Long Beach firm that provides business and financial services for professional athletes), and John Ross III (now a wide receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs). Both grew up and played football in Long Beach. Opening date pending.

Marlena: 5854 E. Naples Plaza

After a long culinary career in San Fransisco, CSULB alum Robert Smith will be opening his restaurant in the former Russo’s location. Marlena is “Driven by seasonality and local ingredients. Inspired by travel, our kitchen artfully balances Mediterranean culinary traditions with unexpected wood-fired flavors meant to transport your senses.” The name Marlena comes from Marlene, the name of John’s wife, Jen’s late mother. Projected opening September.
