ABOUT MEMBERSHIP IN THE NIA
Membership in the NIA runs from June 1 to May 31, and your support sets the tone for the year ahead. Your contributions define our budget and your volunteerism defines the teams that will tackle the activities and the “hot topics” influencing our quality of life. Across this website we share an overview of the NIA’s great work. We hope it serves as an inspiring introduction to island newcomers and a refresher for those of us who have long called Naples “home.” In the end, we also hope the story is compelling and your support is earned!

MORE ABOUT THE NIA
Membership in the NIA runs from June 1 to May 31, and your support sets the tone for the year ahead. Your contributions define our budget and your volunteerism defines the teams that will tackle the activities and the “hot topics” influencing our quality of life. Across this website we share an overview of the NIA’s great work. We hope it serves as an inspiring introduction to island newcomers and a refresher for those of us who have long called Naples “home.” In the end, we also hope the story is compelling and your support is earned! On this site, we not only take a moment to reflect on the importance of the NIA but to also recognize the tremendous efforts of our dedicated volunteers… our committee chairs, initiative leaders, supporters and board members. Whether it’s championing seawall projects, improving safety, or preparing for a natural disaster, it’s our volunteers who drive the bus. Whether it’s organizing the beloved Pancake Breakfast, the Boat Parade, the Flea Market or the Summer Concerts, it’s our volunteers who gift the community with their time and energy to craft joyful experiences for us all. The NIA is a shining example of ROI: Return on Investment. We get out what we collectively put in. We all want a vibrant, safe, friendly community.
Founded in 1928, the NIA is the conduit to help make it happen. When we unite our resources and voices, we proactively influence what it means to be Community. The NIA’s effectiveness directly correlates to its relationships. From Mayor Richardson to 3rd District Councilwoman Kristina Duggan and her staff, we have the ear of the City. Marine Maintenance takes care of the fountain and Marine Services partnered with us on the Seawall projects. Our Neighborhood Watch team partners with LBPD and our LB CERT-Naples Team partners with LBFD. We have great community relations with the Garden Club, the NIBA, LBYC, ABYC and Naples Bayside Academy. We are indeed a village, and together we are Naples Strong!
