Strength and Resilience in Community
The NIA and the NIBA are collaboratively launching "Naples Strong"… a community campaign celebrating the strength and resilience of Naples' residents and merchants.
1) It starts with this consolidated information page. This page will serve as a message board to help us share island-specific updates such as local restaurant's carryout/delivery options, merchant news, event updates, select tips from area officials and links to a few expert sites, such as the CDC and Long Beach's Health and Human Services. The page will also carry important updates from, and links to, our island partners: LB CERT-Naples Team, Naples Neighborhood Watch and Naples Islands Garden Club.
naplesisland.org/strong is intended to augment your information resources, NOT replace them. For all things COVID-19 related, we urge you to turn to experts such as the CDC for your primary information.
2) It continues with a visible "Naples Strong" campaign that will carry into our public spaces, front yards and patios via lawn signs that will be delivered in the next 3-5 days (UPS is a little less specific about exact delivery times at the moment). We've ordered 200 signs. Our Naples' CERT team will manage distribution of the signs. If you would like one for your block, please send your name and address to lbcert.naples@gmail.com. Signs will be allocated in such a way as to canvas as much of the island as possible. To start, we are setting a goal of 3-4 signs per block. There will be four versions of the signs (which are 24" wide x 18" high on wire-frame stakes).
3) It continues on social media where we're introducing the hashtag #NaplesStrong to connect islanders on twitter and instagram. Feel free to include the hashtag in your messages.
#NaplesStrong

NIA Message
Fellow Neapolitans -
I love the unity of this unique neighborhood! We have probably never been closer to our families for such extended and uncertain times. When I say family, I also mean our Island community. Enjoy each other, help thy neighbor and while our local Island businesses are there to support you, please find ways to support them. We are a perfectly diverse neighborhood that will successfully soldier our way through this crisis. When we look back on this crisis, I would like us to say that we as families and community came out stronger, closer and healthier!
Naples Strong, Community Committed!

NIBA Message
Greetings all…
In good times and bad, Naples’ businesses and residents share a closeness that is special. Many owners and employees live on our special Island. Naples residents are our customers and friends. With our current reality, sadly, not everyone is open and available, but those who aren’t join with us in spirit and resolve. During time of crisis, we stand together, helping each other the best we can. Over the coming days and weeks, our bond will strengthen as we work together to ensure that Naples stays as safe and healthy as possible.
We are Naples Strong!
Bob Lane
President, Naples Island Business Association

Practice Social Distancing
Remember the six-feet rule when passing on the street, standing in line for groceries or making a delivery to your neighbor.
Wash Hands 20 Seconds
Sing the Happy Birthday Song twice while you soap up and scrub up under hot water.
Collaborative Shopping
Let neighbors know you're planning a trip to the store. What could they add to your list to eliminate another trip?
Collaborative Carryout
Make it "Lasagna Sunday!" One person on the block organize a carryout. Everyone place their orders. One person orchestrates pickup and delivery to the block… reduce the need for everyone to duplicate effort and interactions.
Stay Connected
During this time of Social Distancing, reach out and touch someone by phone. Check on a friend. Call a neighbor.
